1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to GezApp ("the App", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GezApp mobile application — a catalog of places and events in Azerbaijan.
By using GezApp, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any provision — please do not use the App.
2. Service Description
GezApp is a mobile application that provides:
- A catalog of restaurants, cafes, leisure venues, concerts, festivals, and other establishments in Azerbaijan
- An interactive map of establishments
- The ability to leave star ratings and reviews
- The ability to add places to favorites
- Push notifications about new places and events
- Personalized recommendations based on selected interest categories
- Opening routes via third-party navigation services
The service is provided "as is". We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time.
3. Registration and Account
3.1. Account Creation
Registration in the App is available in two ways:
- Email and password — traditional registration with an email address
- Sign in with Apple — sign in via your Apple ID with the option to hide your real email through the Hide My Email service from Apple
When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your profile data up to date
- Not share account access with third parties
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
3.2. Age Restrictions
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users between 13 and 17 years old must use the App with permission from a parent or legal guardian. If you are under 13 — do not register or use the App.
3.3. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Security & Account → Delete Account. Deletion is irreversible — all your data is deleted immediately, and backups are overwritten within 30 days.
4. User-Generated Content
4.1. What Counts as User Content
User content ("Content") includes any information you publish in the App, including:
- Star ratings (1–5) and text reviews
- First and last name in your profile
- Profile photo (avatar)
4.2. Your Rights to Content
You retain all rights to your Content. By publishing Content, you grant GezApp a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, modify, and distribute the Content as part of operating the App.
4.3. Responsibility for Content
You are fully responsible for the Content you publish. By posting a review, you confirm that:
- The Content does not infringe third-party rights
- The information is truthful and based on personal experience
- You have all necessary permissions to publish
5. Prohibited Conduct
When using the App, the following is strictly prohibited:
- Posting false, defamatory, or insulting reviews
- Posting sexual, violent, or extremist content
- Posting insults based on race, nationality, religion, gender, or orientation
- Posting advertising, spam, or links to third-party sites in reviews
- Posting personal data of third parties without their consent
- Manipulating ratings (fake reviews, reviews on behalf of competitors)
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Using bots, scripts, or automation
- Attempting unauthorized access to the App or its servers
- Violating the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Zero tolerance for content with insults, threats, sexualized content involving children, or content encouraging violence. Accounts violating these rules will be deleted without warning.
6. Content Moderation
6.1. Pre-moderation of Reviews
All user reviews undergo mandatory pre-moderation before publication. Review time is up to 48 hours. We reserve the right not to publish reviews that violate these Terms, without requiring author notification.
6.2. Reporting Reviews
If you discover published Content that violates these Terms, you can report it directly in the App:
- Open the place card containing the review
- Tap the "⋯" icon next to the review
- Select "Report"
- Choose a reason (spam, offensive language, false information, inappropriate content, other)
- Optionally add a comment
Each report is reviewed by administration within 24 hours of receipt. As a result, the review may be hidden, or the report may be dismissed. A user cannot submit multiple reports for the same review.
6.3. Blocking Users
You can block any other user in the App via the menu next to their review. After blocking:
- You will no longer see reviews from the blocked user
- The list of blocked users is stored only for your account
- Blocking does not notify the blocked user
The administration may also block user accounts for systematic violations of these Terms.
6.4. Our Right to Remove Content
We reserve the right, without prior notice, to:
- Remove or hide Content that violates these Terms
- Block accounts of violators
- Transfer information to law enforcement authorities if unlawful content is detected
7. Location and Maps
7.1. Use of Location
The App requests access to your location only while in use (when in use) and only for the following purposes:
- Sorting establishments by distance from your current location ("Near me")
- Displaying your position on the establishments map
- Calculating distance from you to a selected place
Your location is not stored on our servers. Coordinates are used only locally on your device. You can revoke permission at any time via Settings → GezApp → Location. The App will continue to work without location access — distance-related features will simply be unavailable.
7.2. Third-Party Navigation Services
When you tap the "Route" button on a place card, the App redirects you to one of the navigation apps of your choice:
- Apple Maps (pre-installed on iOS)
- Google Maps (if installed)
- Waze (if installed)
Only the address or coordinates of the selected establishment are passed. Further use of the navigation service is governed by the privacy policy and terms of that service:
- Apple Maps — apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google Maps — policies.google.com/privacy
- Waze — waze.com/legal/privacy
We are not responsible for the operation, accuracy of data, or policies of third parties.
7.3. Map Display
For displaying static maps on the place page, the Mapbox service is used. When the map loads, only the coordinates of the establishment are transmitted (not your location). More about Mapbox: mapbox.com/legal/privacy
8. Business Features for Establishment Owners
GezApp provides business features for establishment owners separately from the mobile App. These features are not purchased or managed through the mobile App.

9. Advertising
In version 1.0 of the App, advertising is absent. In future versions (approximately 1–2 months after launch), advertising via Google AdMob may be included in the App. Advertising will be displayed according to your device settings (including Apple ATT — App Tracking Transparency on iOS). For more on advertising data processing, see the Privacy Policy, Section 5.
10. Intellectual Property
The GezApp application, including its name, logo, design, source code, icons, and all content created by us (excluding user Content), is our property and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it
- Decompile or otherwise extract source code
- Use the GezApp logo for commercial purposes without written permission
11. Information About Places
Information about establishments (name, address, hours, phone numbers, coordinates) is added by App administrators based on publicly available data. We make reasonable efforts to keep information current, but we do not guarantee:
- Accuracy of all data (hours, prices, contacts may change)
- Continued operation of the establishment
- Quality of goods or services provided by the establishment
- Prices and availability of menu items
Before visiting, we recommend confirming current information directly with the establishment via the phone number or messenger listed in the card.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all express or implied warranties, including:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Warranties of fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties of uninterrupted operation
- Warranties against errors or vulnerabilities
We are not liable for:
- Actions or inaction of establishments listed in the catalog
- Disputes between users and establishments
- The accuracy of reviews from other users
- Data loss due to technical malfunctions
- Indirect, incidental, or punitive damages
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes:
- Via push notification in the App
- Via banner upon the next launch of the App
- Via email to your account address
The "Last updated" date at the beginning of the document always reflects the current version. Continued use of the App after changes signifies your acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Termination
14.1. Termination by You
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting your account through settings.
14.2. Termination by Us
We reserve the right to block or delete your account without notice for violations of these Terms.
14.3. Effects of Termination
Upon termination:
- Account access is blocked
- Your Content may be retained or deleted at our discretion (subject to legal requirements)
- Provisions that by their nature survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties) remain in effect
15. Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Any disputes are resolved in the courts of Baku city, unless otherwise provided by law.
For users from EU countries, the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) provisions also apply.
